Neurofeedback Therapy

Neurofeedback, also called neurotherapy, is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time displays of brain activity—most commonly electroencephalography (EEG) — in an attempt to regulate brain function.

Neurofeedback effectively modifies brain function and creates positive, enduring changes in adults and children by encouraging the brain to reorganize itself toward more optional functions. FDA-approved, IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback is imperceptible to the client, and requires no conscious effort. Our experience shows that more than 85% of our clients observe a noticeable positive response in one to three sessions. Reported changes are generally enduring and sustainable.
In a clinical study funded by the Department of Defense, UCSD researchers documented a 54% reduction in abnormal brainwave patterns and a 53% reduction in post-concussive symptoms after just 12 sessions. The Veteran's Administration has awarded the team a $1M grant for a larger study. Results are expected to be published in 2023.
